Wuxi, an ancient cultural city, is located in southern Jiangsu on the central part of the Yangtze River Delta, west of Suzhou and 80 miles from Shanghai. It is a major industrial center with a total population of nearly 4.5 million.

As part of the EDAW Shanghai design team I participated in the preliminary design development of this outstanding urban development project.

Located in the city's downtown area, WuXi's CBD has encouraged robust economic activity in the area and is a hub of international business institutions engaged in finance, commerce, trade, information and intermediary services.

Many experts consider setting up world-class Central Business Districts or CBD’s is a prerequisite for China to meet the requirements of economic globalization and market liberalization.
